One More Crappy Video Game Movie - Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li

Capcom confirmed several cast members for the upcoming live-action film for the Street Fighter franchise.

Michael Clark Duncan (The Island, Sin City, Daredevil, The Green Mile) will be joining the cast as Balrog.
Chris Klein (Election, American Pie) will play Charlie Nash.
Black Eyed Peas’ Taboo will play the role of Vega.
Neal McDonough (The Hitcher, Flags of Our Fathers) will star as Bison.
Smallville’s Kristin Kreuk, will play Chun Li.

While Capcom did not confirm with a little digging and according to IMDB, Andrzej Bartkowiak (Doom, Romeo Must Die) will direct the film, and it is going to be called Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li and is scheduled for a 2009 release.

Spyro the Dragon Is Going To Be A Movie Star

Well the cute purple dragon Spyro looks to be slated to appear on the big screen. The Animation Picture Co. has picked up the Spyro rights form the Sierra Entertainment video game franchise to turn the little guy into a movie Star.

According to a report in Variety today, the animated film will be based on The Legend of Spyro trilogy of games and is to be adapted by brothers Steve and Daniel Altiere, who recently penned Dr. Dolittle 4.

Lets just hope they don’t screw it up.

Behind The Scenes Shots and Short Film for ‘Halo’ Live Action Movie

The short film “Combat: Part I,” is available now, and will take viewers deeper into the “Halo” universe for a firsthand look at mankind’s struggle against the Covenant, a religious coalition of aliens that threaten the very existence of humanity. In Blomkamp’s interpretation of “Halo” you’ll see for the first time real UNSC soldiers piloting a Warthog in throes of combat, “Halo’s” most fearsome warrior caste, called Brutes, and weapons like the Plasma Rifle in action.

“Combat: Part I” is the second of three live-action short films that will be directed by Blomkamp, showcasing his vision of the now iconic “Halo” world. “Combat: Part I” will be available for download on Xbox LIVE Marketplace on Tuesday August 28 in high-definition.
